VisionFive 2 supports a wide range of peripherals designed for all the other mainstream SBCs, enabling users to complete their DIY projects effectively.
With the rich interface of the VisionFive 2 board, there are plenty of devices that can be connected to it. For example:
There is a microSD card slot, an eMMC socket, and an M.2 M-Key socket for NVMe SSD. So out of the box, it is easy to expand the storage for different applications.
As an open-source development board, VisionFive 2 supports mainstream Linux distributions.

Follow the official documentation to install Debian or Fedora OS, there are also notes on how to run GPIO applications, such as IIC (I2C), UART, and NodeJs applications. Don’t just make it all about work though, install Doom and Quake to sharpen your FPS skills at high frame rates!

MakerDisk 32GB microSD with Debian 12 OS for VisionFive 2:
Note: This MakerDisk microSD card is pre-loaded with Debian 12 for StarFive VisionFive 2 Board. Please DO NOT format the microSD card.
Note: Please make sure to shut it down properly. Please DO NOT power off without proper shutdown from the Desktop. It will corrupt the Debian 12 image in the microSD card.
Note: Once the microSD card with Debian 12 is bootup, you don't need to do any setup or configuration like Raspberry Pi OS or Jetson Jetpack OS. You can use it right out of the box. All of the startup configuration has been done and preloaded into the microSD card. You can straight away login into the Debian 12 and start your project!
Login by using these default credentials:
